It’s August 1 and that marks the first full week of fall camp for the 2022 North Carolina Tar Heels football team. It’s technically the fourth day of camp after things got started last Friday. Former Carolina offensive lineman Brian Chacos joins the show to give his thoughts on the upcoming season. As a left tackle, he’s someone with invaluable insight into working in a first-time starting quarterback, be it Drake Maye or Jacolby Criswell. Chacos also discusses how good Coach Mack Brown is at keeping things close to the vest. He’s excited about newcomers, such as Virginia transfer Noah Taylor.

Host Isaac Schade also takes time with Chacos to unpack his time playing for UNC in the early 2000s. He shares great stories about his teammates, coaches, and some of his favorite on-field memories.

The conversation turns to Chacos’ current role working for the Rams’ Club. There’s a fantastic story about his parents and their annual cookout with Coach Courtney Banghart and the women’s basketball team.
