What is The Pearl: Ephemeral and Doomed? We are a father-daughter duo (Carl and Sarah Kinbar) and we started recording our conversations in 2018. We had one of our fun conversations and decided on the spot to make a podcast. We call it The Pearl because typically we talk in circles, looping back around to one core concept that animates the whole dialogue. That’s the pearl. The “ephemeral and doomed” tagline is influenced by Ecclesiastes and William Faulkner.
