Then they discuss the scapegoating of referee Tim Peel and how it is yet another example of how the NHL cares more about the appearance of fairness than actual fair competition. They also discuss why this approach goes against the approach of more successful leagues like the NBA and NFL who reward their stars and promote an increase in offense.
