Today, I’m interviewing Mr. Don Linton, a lifelong resident of Frederick. Donald C. Linton was born on July 19, 1935, midway through the Great Depression, in the city of Frederick, Maryland. Frederick was a small farming community at that time, with a population of just over 14,000 people, surrounded by the hills, farmland and villages that defined Frederick County’s mostly rural way of life. Today, in 2018, more than 70,000 people live in Frederick, making it the state’s second largest city and one that has changed a lot over his lifetime. He has raised a family and built an accounting  firm in Frederick, and participated in some of the opportunities that have transformed the this city. In 2013, he was named a Master Entrepreneur by the Entrepreneur Council. His story is also the story of a dynamic and growing Frederick.
