According to The Center for Disease Control, 70 million people in the United States struggle with sleep problems. Overtime, poor sleep can contribute to depression, anxiety, stress and a decline in overall health. Sleep problems are strongly correlated with obesity issues. Ideally, adults should be sleeping between 7-8 hours each night- but the research shows nearly half of Americans feel tired during the daytime.

Sleepfoundation.org reports that somewhere between 10 and 30% of adults suffer from chronic insomnia. There is a lot of information which shows insomnia contributes to poor brain cognition.

Sleep Apnea is another sleep disorder which effects breathing and can lead to serious consequences if left untreated. It is highly recommended that an individual talks with their physician if they suspect signs of sleep apnea.
